Event Basics
What is Wide Open Wisconsin?
Wide Open Wisconsin Full Throttle Fest is a grassroots powersports festival packed with vendors, racing, stunt shows, live music, demos, food, swap meet shopping, camping, and Midwest motorsports energy.
The weekend includes snowmobile grass drags, mini rod pulls, motorcycle stunt shows, MX freestyle shows, jet ski freestyle expos, Traxxas Slash RC truck demos, live music, food, and a massive powersports vendor market.
When is Wide Open Wisconsin?
Wide Open Wisconsin Full Throttle Fest is September 25–27, 2026.
The event is always three weekends after Labor Day.

Do you offer a weekend wristband?
Yes. A weekend wristband is available for $15. This is the best value if you plan to attend more than one day.

Are tickets available online?
General admission is handled at the gate. Camping, pit bike racing, adults on youth ATVs, and certain specialty registrations may use separate registration links when open.

What happens on Friday Night Frenzy?
Friday Night Frenzy includes powersports vendors, the swap meet opening, pit bike racing, adults on youth ATVs, Traxxas Slash RC truck demos, live music, Schwai’s Famous Fish Fry, the Port Yamaha Kayo giveaway, and the Backcountry Village Kickoff Party.
What happens on Super Saturday?
Saturday is the biggest day of the weekend. It includes powersports vendors, swap meet, MX freestyle shows, mini rod pulls, vintage snowmobile show, snowmobile water skip demos, MotoTrials, jet ski freestyle expos, Twinstunts, Traxxas Slash RC truck demos, the Wisconsin DNR certified safety course, and live music until 9:30PM.
What happens on Sunday Showdown?
Sunday includes snowmobile grass drags, vendors, swap meet, jet ski freestyle expos, Twinstunts, Traxxas Slash RC truck demos, live music, and final-day vendor deals.
Camping
Are campsites available?
Yes. Backcountry Village camping is available at Washington County Fair Park and is designed to turn Wide Open Wisconsin into a full weekend experience.
Campers can start coming in on Friday at 12PM.
How much is the VIP camping package?
The VIP Camping Package is $198 and includes Friday and Saturday nights.
- Two weekend admission passes to Wide Open Wisconsin
- Exclusive access to the VIP hospitality tent in Vendor Village
- Two VIP admissions to Friday and Saturday afterparties
- Camper and vendor only afterparties
- Automatic entry into Backcountry Village giveaways

When can campers arrive?
Campers can start coming in on Friday at 12PM.
Please follow event signage, camping directions, and staff instructions when arriving at Washington County Fair Park.
When does camping open for purchase?
Waitlist guests get the first opportunity to purchase starting July 14.
Camping opens to the public on July 21.
Checkout will take place through the Backcountry Village website, and the purchase link will be provided when registration opens.
What is included with a campsite?
- Electric hookup
- Water hookups
- Standard sites are 35 feet in length
- Limited oversized campsites available
- On-site dumping station with two drive ups

- Pets are allowed but must be leashed and cleaned up after
What if more than two people are staying in my camper?
If more than two people are staying in your camper, each additional person must purchase the VIP package. The VIP package includes weekend admission, camping privileges, and VIP perks.
What is the Backcountry Village Kickoff Party?
Friday night is the official Backcountry Village kickoff party, giving campers, VIPs, and vendors a chance to settle in, connect, and start the weekend with music, drinks, and the VIP hospitality tent.
The Friday night kickoff party is private for campers, VIPs, and vendors, featuring DJ Lil Willy from 9PM to midnight.
Swap Meet
How much are swap spots?
Swap spots are $20, no matter the size of your setup.
The driver of the swap vehicle is included with the $20 swap spot fee and does not need to purchase a separate admission wristband.
Additional passengers in the swap vehicle will need admission wristbands.
Swap spots are available first come, first served. They cannot be reserved or purchased ahead of time.
When can swappers arrive?
Swappers can start coming in on Friday at 12PM.

When is the swap meet open?
The swap meet is open all three days in 2026.

Do swap sellers need admission?
The driver of the swap vehicle is included with the $20 swap spot fee and does not need to purchase a separate admission wristband.

Are indoor vendor spaces still available?
Indoor vendor spaces are sold out for 2026. Outdoor vendor space may still be available depending on timing and layout.
Registration
How do I register for Pit Bike Racing?
Pit Bike Racing has limited spots available. Registration is handled through the Pit Bike Registration page.
How do I register for Adults on Youth ATVs?
Adults on Youth ATVs has limited spots available. Registration is handled through the Adults on Youth ATVs registration page.
How do I sign up for the Wisconsin DNR certified safety course?
The Wisconsin DNR certified safety course is part of Saturday’s event schedule. Registration is handled through Wisconsin Go Wild.
Grounds Rules
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. Dogs are welcome at Wide Open Wisconsin.
Dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them. Please only bring well-behaved dogs that can handle crowds, noise, engines, and busy event grounds.
Can I use my own vehicle, golf cart, scooter, ATV, bike, or pit bike on site?
Personal vehicles of any kind, including bikes, scooters, ATVs, pit bikes, and golf carts, are not permitted unless approved in advance for accessibility purposes.
Only individuals with a documented disability may request permission to bring in a personal electric mobility scooter, golf cart, pit bike, or other transportation equipment. Prior approval is required by emailing info@wideopenwi.com before the event.
What documentation is required for an approved accessibility vehicle?
To be approved, you must submit required documentation before the event by emailing info@wideopenwi.com.
- Proof of disability, such as a doctor’s statement or official letter of acceptance for a state-issued handicap plate or mirror hang card
- The documentation must include the name of the individual requesting access
- A handicap hang tag alone is not considered valid documentation
- Proof of liability insurance for the specific vehicle you plan to use
What are the rules for approved mobility vehicles?
- Speed must be kept to a minimum anywhere on the grounds
- Drivers may not consume alcohol while operating the vehicle
- Pedestrians always have the right of way
- Only one passenger is allowed, regardless of how many seats the vehicle has
- Approval and insurance paperwork must be kept with you during the event
Failure to follow these rules may result in vehicle access being revoked or the vehicle being removed from the event grounds.
