Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@wideopenwi.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Wide Open WI: Full Throttle Fest is Wisconsin’s ultimate grassroots powersports festival—a high-octane, family-friendly weekend packed with action, adrenaline, and small-town charm. Held at the Washington County Fair Park, it’s more than just an event—it’s a celebration of everything we love about Midwest motorsports.

Unlike your typical festival, our lineup isn’t about headliners on a stage—it’s about roaring engines, dirt-slinging excitement, and nonstop thrills. From snowmobile grass drags and mini-rod pulls to motorcycle stunt shows and jet ski freestyle expos, the action doesn’t stop. Add in live music, food trucks, cold drinks, a massive vendor market, and one of the biggest powersports swap meets around, and you’ve got a full weekend of fun—for a price that won’t break the bank.

Bring the whole crew, stay for the weekend, and enjoy on-site camping under the stars. Wide Open WI is where horsepower meets hospitality, and where memories are made—Wisconsin style.

It's always three weekends after Labor Day, this year the Fest will be September 19-21, 2025.

Wide Open Wisconsin is located at the Washington County Fair park in West Bend, WI

Yes—they sure are! We love dogs and welcome them to join in the fun. However, for everyone’s safety and enjoyment, all dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them. Bring your well-behaved pup and enjoy the weekend together!

We do our best to keep Wide Open WI affordable for everyone!

  • Friday & Sunday: Just $5 (these are our shorter “half-day” events)

  • Saturday: $10 for a full day of action

  • Kids under 5: Free!

  • Parking: Always free—no surprises there.

  • Camping: Just $40 per night and includes water & electricity hookups

It’s a whole weekend of fun without breaking the bank!

Absolutely! Camping is just $40 per night, and that includes water, electricity, and tax. There are 135 campsites right on the Washington County Fair Park grounds—just a short walk to and from all the action at Wide Open Wisconsin.

Each site includes:

  • One 50AMP, one 30AMP, and one 20AMP electric hookup

  • Water hookup (bring a hose splitter as water is shared between neighboring sites)

  • 35' site length (if your camper is longer than 35', you'll need to reserve two spots)

  • On-site dump station with two drive-ups

  • Access to seasonal shower facilities

Important: All camping reservations are handled directly by the Washington County Fair Park. Wide Open WI doesn't make a dime from the campsites—but we highly recommend them!

Only individuals with a documented disability may request permission to bring in a personal electric mobility scooter, golf cart, pit bike, or any other type of transportation equipment. You must receive prior approval by emailing info@wideopenwi.com before the event.

To be approved, you must present the following documentation:

  • Proof of disability: This must be a doctor’s statement or an official letter of acceptance for a state-issued handicap plate or mirror hang card. The documentation must include the name of the individual requesting access. Please note: a handicap hang tag alone is not considered valid documentation.

  • Proof of liability insurance for the vehicle you plan to use:

    • Either a copy of the insurance policy that specifically names the vehicle, or

    • A copy of the general insurance policy and a letter from your insurance provider confirming the policy covers the specific vehicle you intend to bring.

All required documents must be submitted beforehand by emailing info@wideopeniw.com.

Important: For the safety of all guests, personal vehicles of any kind—including bikes, scooters, ATVs, and golf carts—are not permitted unless approved in advance for accessibility purposes.

Yes — for the safety of all attendees and to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere, the following rules apply to all approved personal mobility vehicles:

  • Speed must be kept to a minimum while operating the vehicle anywhere on the grounds.

  • Drivers may not consume alcohol at any time while operating the vehicle.

  • Pedestrians always have the right of way. Please drive cautiously and respectfully.

  • Only one passenger is allowed, regardless of how many seats the vehicle has.

  • You must keep a copy of your approval and insurance paperwork with you at all times during the event.

Failure to follow any of these rules may result in your vehicle access being revoked or the vehicle being removed from the event grounds. We appreciate your cooperation in making Wide Open Wisconsin safe and enjoyable for everyone.
